This course was our baby from the very beginning. A serindipidous meeting with the course designer sparked it all.

We were lucky to get in on the ground floor with this course. From logo design, custom course signage, social media management and even some video, we covered it all for this course. And we even got to get our hands dirty with a lot of manual labor on this one.

The Logo

The first step was creating a custom logo for this course. It already had a name: The Hive. Named because this property is also going to be an aviary so there are going to be several honeybee stations near the course. We came up with a fresh logo that incorporated the concept along with the name. It’s easy to see this logo on a tshirt!

The Signage

The signs on this course are very important because this course is wooded … and it is LONG. There are a lot of shots off the tee where you can’t see the basket. The course has several holes where there are more than just one dogleg. So getting the layout was super important. One of the main things we wanted to make sure to feature was giving distances to specific landmarks and landing zones to give the player a solid idea of exactly what they were looking at and distance they needed to hit. Of all of the courses we’ve worked on so far, these signs were the most important to get the actual hole layout 100% dead on!

Social Media

Getting in on the ground floor, we also volunteered our efforts to manage the social media for the course as well. This mainly featured teaser photos and videos posted to Facebook, Instagram and Youtube to generate excitement and anticipation for the course grand opening.
